But perhaps, the most famous legend that you should know of as a traveler is about a maiden princess that was locked up here by his father the emperor of the #Byzantine #Empire. The legend goes that an oracle told the emperor that his daughter was destined to die before she reached 18 years old, because of a snake bite. The emperor took this oracle very seriously and decided to lock her up in this tower on an islet.
