Press-fit pins with highly flexible press-fit zone are inserted in metal holes without additional soldering. Summary: SM Contact used FEA simulation to improve general principles of the technical solution and to control the deviation. Among the simulation-based decision the following improvements can be distinguished as the most important: bending tooling shape, pin cutting principle, and Y-axis acceleration changes.
