This video is 'Part 1' of the current state of Adelaide International Raceway as documented in April 2025. AIR as it is affectionately known was opened in 1972 and throughout the 1970's / 80's hosted some of the biggest Touring Car, GT, NASCAR and Super Speedway events. The final circuit race was the national AMSCAR Series in 2006. The Quarter mile Drag strip proved very popular for multiple decades the best of my knowledge last hosted ANDRA Drag Racing continuing through to its final event on the 24th of March 2018 also during this period the venue hosted many Street Meet events, taking people off the streets and giving them a safe environment to race their mates. The venue is located in Virginia, located approximately 35 minutes north of the Adelaide CBD on Port Wakefield Road and is owned by the Jane Corporation. I hope that you enjoy the video.
