As you arrive on Purgatory, Warden Kuril will greet. After failing to part Shepard and the squad with their weapons, he will give you a short tour of the prison. When you ask him about the expense of running such a prison, he will explain his questionable methods of making sure the homeworlds of the prisoners being held in Purgatory pay their fee. Your squadmates will call him out on running an extortion racket. Once you are done with the questions, you can move on. Your squadmates will be curious whether there have been any attempts to escape the prison. Before Warden Kuril leaves to make sure the credits for releasing Jack have been received, he will direct you to Outprocessing. On your way there, you will encounter several prisoners. As one of them is getting beat up by a guard, you squadmates will contemplate the ethics of using torture during interrogation. When you approach the cell with Prisoner 780 and talk to him, he will request you buy him as well. However, once your squadmates reveal to him you're there for Jack, he quickly changes his mind. When you reach Outprocessing, Warden Kuril will reveal his true plan for Shepard and send in some mercs to take care of them. Once you deal with this wave of enemies, Warden Kuril will raise an alarm and order to reinforce Outprocessing. You squadmates will not lose sight of your main objective - getting Jack out of cryo.
