One of the first, if not the first, norwegian straight edge bands, Onward's first EP is a pummeling assault of militant straight edge energy with the prolific Amdam brothers Peter (rip) and Torgny on guitars and vocals among others, this whole record is urgency incarnate, leaning heavily on the seminal NYC bands like early Agnostic Front and YoT while keeping it enough their own to stand out despite torgny sounding like a young Roger Miret. Which is a good thhing ngl. This is the start of a scene that bred bands like Sportswear, Shipwrecked, Enforcer and Insurance Risk and cemented a new generation of hardcore from norway for decades to come. well at least one. Just can't justify - 0:00 - Before You Know 1:04 - Onward 2:51 - Fate 5:18 - Outside The Center 6:42 - Who To Tell 8:44 - Can't Justify Also; nerd shit for nerds - i had to include some info off of Discogs regarding how this record was printed because, holy shit, thank you to the 1990's and whatever the hell kind of pressing runs these were: "1st press: 1303 black vinyl, 163 blue vinyl. First press has blue cover. 2nd press: 620 black vinyl, 280 red vinyl Second press has red cover. 3rd press: 4 black Tespressings, 1 black/gold Testpressing, 274 grey vinyl, 144 gold vinyl (color varies a bit), 1 gold/ black swirled vinyl, 7 clear vinyl. Gold and clear vinyl comes in the red sleeve of the second pressing, grey vinyl comes in the blue sleeve of the first pressing. Testpress comes in the red sleeve of the second pressing. All records are handstamped on both sides. This pressing came out for 25 anniversary of this record and was supposed to come out for RSD 2016 orginally. Some copies of the third pressing were screwed up and has been sent back to the pressing plant. As compensation the pressing plant repressed the 7" but it turned out they were too many, so I hadn't enough sleeves left. This pressing is handstamped, too but instead of the Crucial Response logo, they came with a stamped Peter Amdam picture on one side of the label. 45 grey vinyl, 5 grey/ swirled vinyl, 47 gold vinyl, 3 gold/ black swirled vinyl, 11 black vinyl. The grey and grey/ black vinyl come in the blue sleeve of the first pressing. The gold, the gold/ swirled vinyl and the black vinyl come in a handmade camouflage sleeve with a sperate lyric sheet." lol. big ups to whoever kept track of that.
