Lewis takes a hard look at the idea of this past week’s events actually being a turning point in the US. Mostly because he feels it’s been said before. Inflammatory rhetoric that seems to do nothing but prove we need more adults in the room at a time of crisis. Buckle up because there seems to be nobody with a strong hand on the wheel. Yes, the political landscape is a combo platter of ineffectiveness and it seems to be seeping in more and more aspects of our society. The rants this week come to us from Las Vegas where plenty of the locals lined up to air grievances about their city For advertising opportunities email: rantcast@thesyn.com ______________________ CHAPTERS 0:10 - Is this really the turning point? 11:17 – Lewis has shingles, bring on the vaccine skeptics 14:20 – The riskiness of pregnancy in the US 16:37 – The firing of a woman by a dickhead 17:36 – A study about reading your phone while on the toilet 22:36 – RANT #1: Les Seifert has a complaint about Vegas parking 23:37 – RANT #2: Ms Me wants to know if Lewis pays people for the rants because the Vegas prices are skyrocketing 25:32 – RANT #3: Ed Plazen woulda stayed home if he realized Lewis was livestreaming 25:52 – RANT #4: Arleen Floyd has another rant about Vegas parking 26:35 – RANT #5: Kurt Raff is a Vegas local who is once again complaining about Vegas parking. 27:13 – RANT #6: Christopher Johnson has some advice for Lewis while in Vegas 27:45 – RANT #7: John Griffitn has an observation about traffic cones 28:08 – RANT #8: A teenage neighbor made a decision after a car accident 28:37 – RANT #9: Brooke Rayworth thinks Vegas weather is all about perspective 28:50 – RANT #10: Marissa Govan is mad at her baby daddy 29:20 – RANT #10: Woody Dolan is mad about opening up butter 30:20 – RANT #11: Shang Tseung is a Las Vegas teacher 31:33 – RANT #12: Michelle Z thinks our education system is messed up 32:30 – RANT #13: Jodi Greenfield has a rant about the garment industry 24:30 – RANT #14: Shannon Swatman has a rant about Cracker Barrell 37:12 – RANT #15: Rick Stromeyer tries to clarify a detail from a previous rant. With his weekly podcast "Lewis Black’s Rantcast," the Grammy-winning comedian does just that. Channeling his anger in ways only a man who’s devoted his entire life to ranting can do. The tirades are sometimes big, other times small, yet they are always fun-spirited and truly hilarious. No topic is safe from Black’s trademark style of comedic yelling and animated finger-pointing. Skewering anything and anyone that gets under his skin. On the "Rantcast," Black isn’t the only person getting things off his chest, each week Lewis allows fans to submit their gripes so he can commiserate in their frustrations. Black’s long career includes movie roles in Accepted, the voice of Anger in the Pixar’s "Inside Out," and is currently the longest-running correspondent on Comedy Central’s "The Daily Show."
