Wildpics Out and About: snorkeling in the Vidourle River

On a recent, too short trip, to Visit carole in France, we decided to take a few hours to slow down and relax next to the Vidourle River where we could unwind from the blur that has been 2018. So we packed up a picnic, the hammock, snorkels, and of course the cameras. Nature was more than willing to share this sunny afternoon with us, we were lucky to set up our camp next to a feeding family of kingfishers. Which provided the lunchtime entertainment! Finishing lunch Carole and I had plans, Carole was thinking about the hammock; currently empty and swaying slowly between two trees next to the river as a great place to spend post lunch. While I, for some childish reason, was preparing to jump in the unknown of the river. So with camera in hand, I slipped into the murky river for a bit of exploration. We hope you enjoy a few minutes of our afternoon on and under the water. Later down stream, I found Carole on the bank of the river photographing some beautiful damselfies.
