In Pakistan Railways, There is a model room which is a true representation of Absolute Block System for train operation. In this video, a station building (i.e Platefrorm) has been shown which is covered by reception and departure signals. Reception signals mean signals which deal to receive train in station yard & station building.Departure Signals mean which deal in departure of train from station building. Reception signals comprise of Outer/Warner and Home signals. Departure signals comrise of Starter and Advance Starter signals Yellow Round board is called SDB (Sighting distance Board), it gives meaning to train driver as; He should be vigilant, keep an eye over aspect of next signals & keep train speed in control condition. Semaphore Signals or mechanical signals are also known as Arm type signals. Only two aspects of signal are there, either ON or OFF. ON means when it will be on 90 degree angle & OFF means when on 45 degree angle. Cabin for interlocking: A cabin which involves interlocking of points of lines. it consists of mechanical bars and rods through which two rails are engaged or disengaged. Points are required to be set & lock before OFF aspect of semaphore signal. Neil Ball Token Box: This is a box available on each station and a source of communication. A metallic round ball is used as permission to approach from station master in next station to the station master in rear. it is evident that video is not covering entire system.
