What a special night this was as we welcomed Sean Webster with a band made up of Ash Wilson, Greg Smith and Phil Wilson - a line up that Sean says may never tour the UK again! It was no real surprise that it was a Sold Out crowd that welcomed them to The Tuesday Night Music Club... Here's what someone in attendance said: It's been 11 long months since I last saw one of my favourite artists, Sean Webster. Living in the Netherlands he only manages to tour once a year in the UK, but his live album ( Three Nights Live ) has been in the cd player in the car for all of those 11 months. This show at The TNMC was always going to be to a capacity crowd and I was very pleased to see amongst the assembled music lovers a few musicians, music reviewers and more than a few photographers, eager to capture the event. Playing with Sean last night and throughout Sean's tour of the UK were the much respected Ash and Phil Wilson on Guitar and Drums respectively and the wonderful Greg Smith on Bass. All three of them very well known at the club and on the circuit. Unfortunately this was to be the last time we will see this line up again at a Sean Webster gig, and they certainly made sure the last time would be sensational, despite the temperature in the club hovering in the high seventies they raised it quite a few degrees more with their performance. A very different set from the last time I saw them but no less enjoyable. We were treated to a selection of some of Sean's older songs along with some newer songs from his forthcoming Album. Throw in a few beautifully performed covers and you had what amounted to one of the very best nights I have had at the club. As their two sets finished the audience rose as one shouting for more and, despite the fact that these guys had given their all, Sean returned to the stage alone at first to sing the best version I have ever heard of "I would rather go Blind" joined halfway through by the rest of the band to deliver this song in a way I had never heard it before. Last night was a superb evening and I am so sorry that I will unlikely see this line up again. - Ken Jackson
