Tracklist: 00:00 Changes 05:34 Plastic 10:00 Tunes 13:45 Polyphony 16:18 Eine Sternklare Nacht (Starry Night) A collection of songs programmed, arranged and performed live with the Yamaha rm1x groovebox. The rm1x internal voices are used in all the song. In addition the rm1x is sequencing the Yamaha SY35, Korg Microsampler and the Yamaha PSR 4600. For some extra flavor you may hear the Korg Kaossilator here and there. In song "Changes" you hear the SY35 as the lead synth running through an external delay unit. Other synths are from the rm1x internal banks. The Kaossilator also got its part. For song "Plastic" I do not remember clearly, but I think it is the rm1x alone. In "Tunes" the PSR4600 and SY35 are used for the main voices both sequenced by the rm1x. I randomly hit the keys using the piano patch + cutoff on the rm1x. Actually I was frustrated as didn't know how to continue. Listening back on the next day I found it interesting then. In the song "Polyphony" the SY35 is used in Multi-Timbral mode. The rm1x is sequencing three voices of the SY35 independently through dedicated midi channels, the fourth voice is played (improvised) on the keys live. In song "Eine Sternklare Nacht (Starry Night)" a Linn drum sample pack is used on the Microsampler and sequenced by the rm1x. The "bell" kind of sound is a custom programmed patch of the SY35. I am tending to record jam sessions or 'prototype songs' for collecting ideas and doing sound checks. All these songs are recorded in random jam sessions and went almost lost on an old memory card. Now they are here for listening. I hope you like this little plastic journey. Cheers @rm1xapm
