Visit http://www.aurora-clinics.co.uk/face-... for more information about split and stretched earlobe repair. This video series features the questions we have received about stretched and split earlobes. Stretched earlobes are increasingly common in today's society, therefore correction of stretches is also becoming more common. We get loads of questions from patients, some of which we simply answer, but the most frequent, we like to turn into information videos for you, so we have answers to these questions within our Youtube channel and on our website which is instantly accessible. We often get asked if a stretched earlobe will close once the stretcher has been removed. The actual answer to this is most likely it will not completely close up. Of course it all depends on the size of stretch you are working with. The earlobe will close up to an extent at whatever size you are, but the bigger you have gone, the larger than hole you will be left with. We think anything above 10mm will always have a visible hole. At 10mm and below it can close up, but there is usually a small hole that will remain. Again it is different for different people, so we can't officially say holes do not close up, because those exceptions don't come in for earlobe correction. We see patients who state their hole has shrunk to the size it is and stayed at that size until they came for surgery.
