Genres: House • Tech House • Progressive House • EDM • Melodic Techno • Trance • Pop • Dance Hey everyone - I’m Shayan Ravanassa (I DJ under “Shayan”), a fourth-year medical student at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston (graduating May 2026). This was my first fully recorded DJ set and my biggest event so far. What started as a small hobby at the beginning of medical school has grown into something I plan to carry with me long-term. Getting to share music with friends and the local community here has honestly been the best part of living in Galveston. Most of the crowd you see, especially later in the set, is made up of UTMB medical, nursing, and PA students, along with residents and faculty. The support here has been unreal, and I’m really grateful to everyone who showed up. Thanks for taking the time to watch. You might notice occasional, tiny audio delays compared to the video. This happened because my iPhone recorded at variable FPS while the Insta360 X3 always recorded at 30 FPS. This caused audio drift and made editing more difficult, and I didn't want to wait 100 hours for online video transcoders to convert my iPhone footage into a constant framerate, which would also produce ridiculously large file sizes.
