Why our schools should be more holistic | Imran VERSI | TEDxKitisuru

In this engaging TED Talk, Dr. Imran explores the concept of holistic education, challenging the conventional focus on grades and academic success as the primary measure of student achievement. He highlights the struggles many students face with emotional, psychological, and social issues, despite excelling academically. Born and educated in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, completed his A levels through the Cambridge curriculum in 2012. Went on to pursue a Doctor of Medicine degree at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC), graduating in 2017. After working for a few years and taking additional courses, he is currently in his final year of specialization, pursuing a Master's in Psychiatry at the University of Nairobi in Kenya while working at the onsight consulting doctor for CARE 360 in Parklands, Nairobi This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
