"I always loved the song, "She's Madonna" not just because Pet Shop Boys co-wrote, played and sang on and produced the song with Robbie but because it's a great song and the music video is unique and special as well. In the video, there are many legendary drag queens, performers and artists, many of whom I know: the late Alexis Arquette, Jackie Beat, the late Momma, Sham Ibrahim, Constance Cooper, Selene Luna, Abby Travis, Tammie Brown and others. When editing the video, I made sure to put Alexis Arquette throughout as well as the others. With the song and video, I was inspired to make a "Matisse Mix". Initially, I was going to base the mix off of the album version but after discovering Kris Menace's remix, I thought it had way more energy and was a better audio mix to make my "Myleslandia Sound + Vision Mix". Such great lyrics were just disposed of in the Menace mix. When making a video remix, that means those parts of the music video with Robbie singing would be on the cutting room floor. I wasn't about to let that happen. Unless it's a DUB version, ALL THE LYRICS should be left in the remix. So, I isolated the vocals from the normal version and put those three post chorus' back in during the instrumental segments of the remix. That created my "Matisse Mix". I made it fit and work with the rhythm and cadence of the song. I think it makes the mix complete.
