BLOCS Scholar Cydney Reflects on the Impact that BLOCS Has Had on Her Life and Education

Little Flower High School for Girls in Philadelphia Pennsylvania is one of the schools that BLOCS proudly partners with to provide aid through our Mission Contribution funding to those schools having the greatest need, while also providing donors the opportunity to direct their tax credit need-based scholarships to a school of their choice. Cydney, a student at Little Flower, reflects on what the opportunity to receive a Catholic education with the support of BLOCS and the community at Little Flower has meant to her. Through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs, businesses AND individuals who are subject to PA taxes can redirect their liability by funding need-based scholarships for Pennsylvania students and receive a 90% tax credit refund.
