Farmers Resume Delhi-Chalo March Amidst Tear Gas, Barricades

In a recent update on the farmer's protest in India, tensions escalate at the Punjab-Haryana-Shambhu border as farmers resume their Delhi-Chalo march with 1,200 tractors. In an attempt to impede their advance, police fired tear gas shells which resulted in heightened tensions. The situation at Delhi's Tikri border, Shambhu border, and Singhu border remains fraught with heavy security barricading. Farmer protesters are reported to have brought excavators and other earth-moving machinery to break barricades while distributing safety gear among themselves. Drones have been deployed for surveillance. Amidst the escalating tensions, the agriculture ministry has proposed a fifth round of talks with farmer leaders.
