Wei Zi, an emergency physician. For seventeen years, he has stood guard in the ER. From his youth, when witnessing the treatment of a child suffering from febrile convulsions inspired his resolve to become a doctor, to today, where he calmly confronts life and death while retaining a warm heart. He once plunged his bare hand deep into a patient's shattered leg, blindly searching for an artery to clamp down on the last thread of life. He witnessed a beggar's cold eyes soften with glimmering hope, reaffirming his belief in the power of kindness. Having navigated the depths of depression, he persists in using responsibility as his guiding light. He dedicates himself to medical education, authoring The Art of Saving Lives to empower ordinary people to become first responders. He cares little for titles, aspiring only to be that child who keeps returning small fish to the sea—because every single one matters. He says force is reciprocal, and so is love.
