There’s something to be said for subtlety… but none of that can be said about the much sought-after Boss Hyper Fuzz FZ-2. It’s a beast of a fuzz with a touch of upper-octave rasp depending on how you hit it. There are fuzz pedals, and there are Godzilla pedals. There is no tame setting in this thing. Speaking of settings: there are two fuzz modes. One is kind of a more “classic fuzz” in the midrange character, the other mode is a vicious full-frequency assault and… well, I believe Trent Reznor sang it best: “You are the perfect fuzz, the perfect fuzz, the perfect fuzz…” ;) ABOUT THIS VIDEO: There are no multiple cameras or bells and whistles in this video. No polished riffs or practiced solos. It’s just me and the fuzz getting to know one another. Rough, raw, and uncut.
