We have been getting comments saying Carwow did not get the same time we did. Car wow was using a car that was not broken in (under 500 miles). The computer limits power and torque in the first couple of gears until the car is broken in. Curious to see the difference between using launch control and not using launch control we decided find out just how much. Our biggest difference from 0-60 was from 3.6 w/o launch control to 2.7 with launch control. That is almost a second, which is a lifetime when it comes down to racing. The least difference was 3.4 w/o launch control to 2.9 with launch control. Still a 1/2 second difference and still substantial in the racing environment. W/o launch control the car tended to bog and by the time everything came together time was wasted. Also in launch mode the shifts seemed to be happening quicker. Launch control changed the C8 from Clark Kent to Superman. It really puts it in the company of some very expensive cars. So if you have a Corvette on order you will not be disappointed when you do get it and miles 500 comes along and the power train goes to full power.
