Charleston residents battle third day of major coastal flooding

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Charleston grappled with its third consecutive day of significant coastal flooding Saturday, which has led to the closure of multiple streets in the downtown area. Residents, still recovering from Friday's high tides, are taking proactive measures to protect their properties. The National Weather Service reported that Saturday's tide reached eight feet and was the second to cause major flooding in the area. Homeowner David Graubner, who lives near the water, is among those affected. Graubner sat on the ground with a firehose in his hand, pumping the water out of the street.
