Part 1 of our newest 998 turbo engine build The quest for the first 200hp 5 port 998 begins here with engine block preperation and crucial measurements Engine Block spec: A+ 998cc engine block bored to +0.020 with 3mm Traum +0.020 pistons with thicker crown and 16mm fully floating pins complete with ceramic coated tops and anti friction coated skirts Dry decked block and head 3mm deep pockets to suit 31mm valves Main caps faced on fixing surfaces to use ARP washers with standard fasteners Conrod little ends honed to 16mm Conrods balanced end for end to within 1g of each other Standard 998 crank shaft MED crank pulley and S Damper setup ACL race bearings throughout Follow for part 2 where the short block is fully built and we talk about the chosen Camshaft and timing figures.
