Despite its numerous flaws, the Subspace Emissary remains one of the most memorable parts of SSBB. Pretty much the Adventure mode from Melee on steroids, it also told an intriguing story and had a really good unique villain: Tabuu, who is essentially a living glitch and ruler of the nightmarish dimension Subspace. The theme for Subspace is intimidating from the start, but as you go deeper it gets more distorted and chaotic. In the depths of Subspace the music becomes this incredibly ominous song. While some parts still sound hopeful and heroic (and honestly catchy), the song nails the sheer alien feeling of Subspace with help from the alarming sounds that make it feel like reality itself is breaking down.
