Toonami Rising Sun - Saturday Morning Cartoons | Week 1 | Full Episodes

Come re-live those memories with me every Saturday morning at 9 a.m. ET/PT with a 3 hour block of some of your favorite shows! This is a super edit I put together using multiple sources from shows that aired on Cartoon Network's Saturday Toonami block from 2000-2001. Many shows (like Sailor Moon, DBZ Garlic Jr. Saga, Thundercats, Powerpuff Girls) can't be used for copyright reasons. These shows were substituted for other great shows that aired around the same time on Toonami. This is the 1st video I've made like this. It's also my 4th attempt at making a Toonami: Rising Sun video. The 1st attempt was blocked worldwide over Sailor Moon, DBZ and Rurouni Kenshin footage. The 2nd attempt was blocked worldwide over different DBZ footage as well as Outlaw Star. The 3rd attempt was blocked worldwide over Tenchi Muyo Ep. 1 footage. This final version isn't without its caveats either. It is blocked in Japan due to DBZ: Tree of Might and also blocked in Italy due to Yu Yu Hakusho OVA. You'll notice I've taken a lot of liberties with this super edit. Since some shows like Sailor Moon couldn't be included, I opted for another magical girls show that did have a short runtime on Toonami in 2001; Cardcaptor Sakura. You might also notice some shows have a back to back airing as I felt it was the more safe approach rather than include another show with potential copyright issues. Since most of DBZ episodes couldn't be included I took the movie approach instead. I don't know how long I'll be able to do that so keep your fingers crossed! I intend to do this for as long as I'm able to. I was inspired to do this by other users rinse repeat (RIP his channel) ‪@ChildhoodNetwork‬ ‪@jbuckretrorewind‬ I've been an avid watcher of their channels for sometime and through watching them I've somewhat learned what I could and couldn't do. You should go check them out because they do great work and miles ahead of what I can accomplish. Sadly, I don't have access to old VHS footage if that's what you're looking for so this is a commercial free edit. However I do take a few liberties with many old Toonami promos (Thank SlimD716) when appropriate. Disclaimer: I do not make any money or accept any donations for these videos.
