"I'm just a guy who's a hero for fun." This gameplay video is just a attempt to create a superhero, melee heavy game, using an assortment of mods to hopefully create something entertaining, hope you enjoy! This is going to be tricky; to provide balanced gameplay but still have Saitama's unbeatable power, I think I just might try to just make it a fun experience if anything. The series "One Punch Man" certainly provides a fun premise; an unassuming hero with unmatched power who can defeat any foe with a single punch. Whilst ever victorious, this means there is no real challenge for him now, merely leaving him facing an existential crisis. This is the situation of Saitama, dubbed the "Caped Baldy" of the Hero Association, on patrol against any mysterious being, villain or monster who might arrive to torment the city, a frequent occurence in their world. So Saitama's given power set includes possessing unparalleled strength, speed, stamina and durability, whilst still utilizing basic brawling techniques with a more serious moveset kept in reserve. These might have mundane sounding names but the results are devastating. To elaborate, the wiki theorizes that his natural limiter is removed, meaning his power's growth potential appears to be limitless. The "Onepunchman Doom" v1.3 is a gameplay mod for a playable Saitama; High HP set at 1000, increasing jump height and melee damage, with the output set at 4000 points per hit, which for context is the HP of a default Cyberdemon. It even includes a HUD face portrait and first person player sprites matching Saitama's hero costume though not a complete player sprite. It even includes the anime's intro though this was not included here, I appreciate the effort involved though. The series does allow for any number of enemy replacement mods to be used as monsters, demons and cyborgs are not out of place anatagonist's by the show's style. Whilst the classic monster roster would prove just as ideal, the "Sam Monster Pack" provides a randomizer providing a cyborg and dinosaur oriented monster set. As for a map choice, one with multiple open areas with large numbers of enemies would prove ideal. I went with the "City of Doom" v3.0 map as it had numerous features; a large city map under siege, some instructed direction as to give an objective and alot of enemies by default. To add to it, "10.5x - enemy number multiplier" v0.10.0 can increase enemy numbers via a simple slide in the options, essentially being able to turn any map into a slaughter map. Unfortunately, the map choice lacked any music so I opted for "AndroidFerret's JukeBox". I haven't listened to the entirely of it but it should prove a decent soundtrack residing in the background. For effects mods, I opted for the "NashGore NEXT" v1.0 mod to provide an improved, messier, blood/gibs effect. Given the size of the map, I opted to not include anything overall to the map appearance, just to avoid any potential lag though included "OPal" for an altered color palette and a custom hud with "FlexiHUD" For movement mods, the increased jump height is included in the main mod so will provide better mobility options. In addition, the "SimpleDash-Jump" mod allows for quick dashing and double jumping for maneuvering and "Simple Motion Blur" v1.04 provides the motion effects, ideally set at a low level for better visibility. These are excellent options for quick mobility and associated visual effects, at least in my opinion. Finally, I added "Bullet Time X" v1.3.1 simply for slow motion victories, ain't no way Saitama is losing this one.
