In the cold morning we take down our chicken fence as we sold our laying hens a few weeks ago. Instead of the chicken fence, we build two round firewood silos, with space for lots of firewood. Also in the last few weeks we have equipped our Unimog U410 with a Baas front loader console, so that we can now mount a Baas front loader. Today we will head into the forest to cut firewood to sell and heat August's old house. After we have prepared our Unimog and loaded a Tajfun EGV 65 AHK winch, we head over snow-covered roads into the forest. Helper Felix has already felled some trees here, which we can load. In addition, we mark other trees that are to be felled in the near future. After some time we fully loaded reach August's farm again. Here we are mounting a cabin on the old Lanz D4016 so that it can also be used in winter. We then head to the local biomass power plant to borrow a modern Lizard BA 725D firewood processor. The rest of the morning we spend with the firewood production until about 1 1/2 firewood silos are well filled. We should be able to survive a cold winter with this wood.
