Launch of Talk Radio UK - 14th Feb 1995

The less than auspicious launch of the UK's 3rd commercial national radio station, Talk Radio UK at 6am on 14th February 1995 (I've edited out most of the news bulletin) Clip starts with the end of their test transmissions. The fake BBC announcement had been running on a loop for a few weeks. As can be heard the launch didn't entirely go smoothly, a slight hiccup with the news readers mic and Sean and Samantha didn't seem to have rehearsed what they were going to say to open the station either. They had originally been lined up for evenings but were swapped onto breakfast fairly late on. Perhaps it was a sign of things to come... within weeks Samantha disappeared and Sean ended up moving around various slots. The format didn't work and the whole station relaunched a few months later as the more traditional 'Talk Radio'
