These can cause discoloration and/or damage the shades. If your shade is removable, take it off before you begin the process. We also suggest to turn off the lamp or fixture. The Dry Sponge Method is our preferred cleaning technique. Using a dry sponge, gently wipe the shade and this will remove any dirt, lint, or cobwebs. For shades in hard to reach places, use the soft bristle attachment on your vacuum to remove dirt from the shade. Compressed air can be used as well, but be sure to keep space between the nozzle and the shade. Other options are to use a soft paint brush or a lint roller to brush off or collect dust.
