DRAWMER 1969 TUBE COMPRESSOR - drums short demo!

The Drawmer 1969 is a later, and arguably slightly bettered, incarnation of the venerable Drawmer 1960 stereo/2 channel tube/valve compressor. There seem to be little or no videos showcasing it here on YT, so in this short video I slammed a little looped section of drums I was mixing at my Ocean Spiral Studio in the Canary Islands through it and had some fun with the settings and the different sonic colours this very, very fine compressor can provide. The camera work is from my phone, handheld and not really anything to be proud of, so take it as just a rough visual companion to the audio, which was properly recorded into my DAW. BTW this unit also features a good quality solid state preamp circuit, with an even better DI input with a tasty set of passive (!!!) high/low eq controls and brightness switch, which I didn't test for this short video, but which I often use and find not just totally usable, but often the flavour of choice.
