Well here he is. Considered to be the toughest boss in the entire game. Colossus is infamous for being one of the biggest brick walls in the game, and he has actually outright ended some people's runs because he was just that tough. I also show how to deal with the floor 23 Thunderdome in this video. Which is thankfully FAR EASIER to deal with than the floor 20 Thunderdome in the last game! If you do everything right, you'll only have to fight 1 FOE out of the entire gang. Just follow the path I set, and use the 2 Sleep Bells at the right spots, and that one Guardian is the only enemy you'll have to deal with before taking on Colossus. Oh and during that long stretch south, make sure to step back 1 tile before moving forward. Otherwise if you don't stall, a Beamedge will catch you because it'll catch you in its light of sight. As for Colossus himself, there are a few important things to be aware of. Firstly, he gets very pissy if you have 6 or more buffs. So you're only allowed to use one party wide buff. If you don't follow this rule, he'll spam Mad Rush, his strongest physical attacking skill, which deals a helluva lotta damage on top of binding your heads and arms! Oh and unlike other buff enrages, this skill doesn't wipe buffs! Meaning that Colossus will spam this until you die or your party falls under the number of buffs. Oh and be very careful with debuffs! He also gets pissy and has the same reaction if he has 2 or more debuffs, so don't go too crazy with those. Colossus also looks down on elemental spam. If you use an elemental attack on a given turn, he'll have a 45% chance to use Barrier on the next turn. Which if triggered, will deal 400% untyped damage to the poor sap that triggered the counter. To get around this, only use elemental attacks every other turn. This will essentially give you free turns, at the cost of slowing down your party's damage slightly. This is why I had Lash use Fireshot, to bait out these free turns. Which didn't happen, but it was worth a shot. Note that if you're using a Survivalist, you can combine 1st turn with an elemental attack every turn to essentially make Colossus waste half his turns. Colossus only deals Stab or Bash damage, so pick one of those mists, or just slam down a Phys Mist to reduce the damage from both of those kinds of attacks. His attacks also use the head, so head binding him severely locks him down. Though Destroy uses the legs instead. Colossus is also super resistant to physical attacks, only taking half damage from that. In return he does take 25% more damage from elemental attacks, though like I said before, you don't want to be spamming those. As a result, Dampen is by far the better debuff to use, as a level 5 Dampen will set his physical damage multipliers to 120%, effectively multiplying such damage by 2.4 times! Otherwise be prepared for a very long and hard battle!
