Zhongcun Street is in the northwest of Panyu District, and 6.2 kilometers southeast of the city bridge. Zhongcun Sub-district Office is located on Renmin Road. At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, a person named Zhong built a village here, hence the name. In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the Weiyong, Shibi, and Zhongcun forts of Shawan Capital. In the Republic of China, it was Tongfeng Township and belonged to the first district. In October 1949, it belonged to Yunanxi District. May 1950 was the third district. In the spring of 1953, the three areas were divided into five and six districts. Zhongcun belongs to the sixth district. In March 1957, the district was withdrawn, and it was precipitated as Zhongcun (Da) Township. In October 1958, it was merged into Dashi Group.
