Florida prosecutors have declined to pursue criminal battery charges in the domestic violence case against Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins, the Broward County State Attorney's Office confirmed to 3News. In a Thursday memo explaining their decision to drop the matter, officials stated there was "no reasonable likelihood of conviction" due to conflicting statements made by both Judkins and his girlfriend, the alleged victim in the case. The woman claimed Judkins punched her in the mouth and cut her lip on the night of July 7 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, while Judkins contended she hit him first and he only pushed her back after she kept kicking his chair from the back seat of their car while he was driving. Authorities say the altercation "was not captured on any video surveillance" and there were "no independent witnesses to the incident." While the woman took photos of visible bruises on her body, investigators believe those injuries "could be explained by either account of the incident," and there were also surveillance videos "where no injuries were observed to the victim." Judkins was arrested when his girlfriend reported the alleged incident five days later on July 12, and was later released after posting bond. The 2025 second-round draft pick officially remains unsigned, and the NFL is still investigating the matter.
