I was part of the SEMA Live Broadcast team and covered The Ring Brothers unveiling of their Grand National build called Invader and also covered the Dutchboys GNX build as well. We touch on both of these in this Episode. After seeing these two epic builds at SEMA 2024 I knew we needed to find our own GNX and do a deep dive…. Sure enough I met Greg the Saturday after SEMA and we were filming this episode a week later! And how wild is this? The Buick Grand National Experimental (GNX) is a legendary muscle car that represents the pinnacle of American performance in the twilight of the muscle car era. Produced in extremely limited numbers during 1987, with only 547 units ever made, the GNX was Buick's ultimate street machine. Developed in collaboration with McLaren Performance Technologies, this special edition transformed the Grand National into a performance powerhouse, featuring a specially-tuned 3.8-liter turbocharged V6 engine that officially was rated at 276 horsepower but could deliver closer to 300 horsepower.
