The term "organic" refers to porous gemstones that should not be exposed to harsh chemicals of jewelry cleaner or silver detarnisher, nor the heat and vibration of ultrasonic cleaners: emrald, opal, pearl, coral, amber, moonstone, labradorite, turquoise, agate, cameo. Also avoid polishing these stones with a jewelry polishing cloth. You can use a jewelry polishing cloth on the metal elements of your jewelry, but clean these stones with a clean, soft, microfiber cloth like those used to clean eyeglasses.
