The Dead Air Sandman K is one of the hottest new suppressors in 2017. In this video, we unboxed the Dead Air Sandman K, went over the specifications, and took it to the range for a review. For more reviews like this one, check out our YouTube channel at / @esilencers8109 For a while now, many suppressor enthusiasts have been asking Dead Air to develop a dedicated style suppressor for a 556. Dead Air has answered the call… well, sort of. Although the Sandman K is tailored towards 556k styles, it is actually a .30 caliber suppressor. However, with a change of the front end cap to a 556 cap (which is optional), and a change of your flash hider or muzzle brake to 556, you have a 556k style suppressor! This gives the suppressor lovers the versatility to switch between both calibers. The Dead Air Sandman K weighs 12.8 ounces and has a decibel rating on a 16 inch barreled AR-15 at 149db at the muzzle, and 140db at the ear. Most suppressor owners are going to use a shorter barreled AR-15 which will increase the decibel rating. In this Dead Air Sandman K review, we discovered that the Sandman K is nearly identical to the Sandman S and the Sandman L, just shorter. The length of the suppressor is just 5.4 inches and only adds 3 extra inches when mounted. The Sandman K is made using the famous stellite baffle stack. We like that it is completely user serviceable and that it uses the quick detach mounting system, which is some of the same features we appreciate on the Sandman S and the Sandman L. One of the features we really liked in our Dead Air Sandman K review is the implementation of the first three letter prefix of the serial number with “HPA” which stands for Hearing Protection Act. This feature will be on all Dead Air Sandman Ks until the Hearing Protection Act advances out of the committee in Congress. In our Dead Air Sandman K review, we used a LWRC M6 SBR with a 10.5 inch barrel. Upon mounting the Sandman K to our SBR, the first thing we noticed is the excellent balance on this suppressed rifle. This just proves that the Sandman K was built perfectly for shorter barrel rifles. Looking for suppressors for sale online? At eSilencers, we make purchasing suppressors online easy.
