In this video I will be staying at an what seems to be an abandoned resort in Siem Reap, Cambodia. At first this 5 star resort seemed normal, it was just after a couple of minutes that something weird started sinking in. The hotel felt soulless. No one to be seen at the reception, outside, at the restaurant, walking around or anywhere. No one at the pool, bar, and or staying at any of the other resorts. Just me and the personnel. Three days straight at breakfast and still no one to be seen. This got me thinking that something wasn't going right, so I started searching around the internet just to find out that I wasn't the only one to experience this. These glamorous 5 star resorts around Siem Reap seemed to be empty as many people state. How do these 5 star resorts/hotels run? Are they on the edge of collapse? Are the hotel/resorts just there for money laundering? Or is this just a government scheme to showcase a different picture about Siem Reap? A luxury picture that is not quite a reality.
