Caruthers Path Fire (The Villages, FL) 5/22/25 THE VILLAGES, FL - At 6:26pm on May 22, 2025, The Villages Fire Department would be dispatched to the first of 2 fires they would work this evening. This fire occurred on Caruthers Path near Fudge Terrace in the Village of McLure. First units on scene found heavy smoke showing from the eves of the home. Members made entry and found the majority of the fire was located in the garage. Cause of the fire appears to be from Lithium-ion batteries in a charger in the garage of the home. The second fire occurred on Dalkeith Terrace near Fieldstone Path at 7:00pm.
