I'M RED NOW This mission is a NG+ variant of the normal one, replacing the original version in all subsequent playthroughs. This version is the same as the normal version until you destroy the first couple target facilities and frontline MTs, then you get an offer from the RLF to take out your Redguns allies, G5 Iguazu and G4 Volta. Why wasn't it in NG? I don't know. But I did the Liberator of Rubicon ending the first playthrough and I kind of wish I did Fires first instead, because you get a lot more Rubicon Liberation Front stuff in NG+. But I digress. Accepting the RLF's offer in the alternate version unlocks the Stop the Data Breach mission in Chapter 2, and also changes the Underground Exploration - Depth 2 mission into its alternate version. For information about the original version with the Redguns path, see my video on it here: • Attack the Dam Complex S Rank (Melee Only)... Volta and Iguaza naturally separate to take out different groups of MTs, which gives you some time to try to fight them 1v1 before they can group up against you. Taking out Iguaza first is the safer option, as his HEAD BRINGER AC has kind of a mediocre middleweight midrange build. He's got some missiles, the CURTIS linear rifle, a LUDLOW machinegun and a pulse shield. Overall, not a huge threat by himself, the worst thing he can really do is kite you and waste your time until Volta backs him up. Volta, on the other hand, is piloting CANNON HEAD, a heavyweight tank AC that borders on a PVP viable meta slave build, with some of the most broken and overpowered weapons in the game. He's got the DF-GR-07 GOU-CHEN grenade launcher in his right hand which can stagger light/middleweights in a single shot, the SG-027 ZIMMERMAN shotgun in his left hand, the BML-G2/P19SPL-12 split missile launcher on one shoulder, and the SONGBIRDS grenade cannon on the other. It goes without saying that ZIMMERMAN and SONGBIRDS are insanely good, both of which have been nerfed across the board in update 1.03.1 and they're still phenomenal weapons. To put it succinctly, Volta is the bigger threat, he's super tanky, and he can do tons of damage. It takes a lot of setup to take him out fast, and it's NOT reliable. But I did, and I hope you enjoyed it! __________________________________________________ 0:00 Mission Start!
