When I played the harmonica into the effect chain I was so fascinated by the textural quality that it created. I never really used it much but this jam has changed my perspective, I'm curious to try out more granular stuff with it. Something so wonderful about this process of making ambient is that it is so spontaneous and explorative (like the little bug exploring the flower, or birds soaring through the sky), and I don't have to be able to actually play any instruments as it's more about the texture that comes from the different inputs and effects. So I end up just doing random stuff that (for the most part) sounds good to me in the moment. Once I'm out of the release train I'm currently finding myself in I will collect some of the ambient pieces I've written over the years and distribute them as an album across the platforms :) Patch notes: The pads are coming from the GR-1, which is running through Monsoon and Starlab. There are two granular textures playing, one from Morphagene through Stereo Dipole into Nautilus and Desmodus Versio, the other one is coming out of Stardust through Qpas and Mimeophon. The kalimba is processed with phkia, Mojave and Sealegs. All instrument and foley sounds are running through autochroma, some delays and reverbs. The wind recording was added in Ableton and I did some mixing after recording the jam.
