Jesus and Heaven On My Mind… Sometimes, bad things happen to good people

Have you ever wondered why good people sometimes find themselves in bad situations through no fault of their own? It is counter intuitive to what we think is right and fair. However, we are limited in our ability to reason on a higher level than our God given capacity to understand such things. We can’t see the bigger picture that is part of God’s plan for us all. We view our world in a way that’s colored by our personal experiences, and limited by our understanding of anything that doesn’t fit in the little box of human reasoning. I believe that God has a master plan for us all, and what may seem unfair to us, is actually part of God’s plan for something greater than we know, especially as we view it in real time. Eventually, we may see how the thing that we thought unfair, was actually necessary to achieve an ultimate outcome that was beneficial for us – or maybe we never get it. Maybe it wasn’t even about us at all – maybe God used us in some way to have an effect on someone else for some reason that is beyond us. Whatever God’s reason for the things that happen to us, we should not question it. Instead, we should stand strong in our faith, and know that it’s all part of his master plan. If we suffer an injustice in this life as part of God’s plan, He will make it up to us later – if not in this life, then for sure when we get to heaven… What do you think?
