When my 8-year-old son George decided he wanted to sew a dress for his girlfriend for Valentine's Day, I couldn’t say no! 🥰 In this video, I guide him step by step through making the Mini Indigo dress from Tilly and the Buttons’ Mini Makes book. We cover everything from cutting fabric to sewing seams and learning key sewing terminology along the way. The fabric we used is a beautiful flamingo-print viscose, which I also sell in my shop. Even though the video is long, I wanted to keep in all the teaching moments so it can serve as a complete beginner-friendly sewing lesson for kids (or anyone new to sewing!).
