I’ve just bought a collection of 330 year old Chinese porcelain from the Vung Tau Cargo. This was a ship that sunk off the coast of Vietnam in around 1690. The haul was discovered in 1989 and the collection was sold at Christie’s in Amsterdam in 1992 for over 7.3 million dollars. I’ll tell you the story of the find and show you the items themselves, point out the things to look out for and value each one individually.
