Railway Series 80th Anniversary on the Sefton & West Lancs - Eighty Years of Thomas & Friends

Celebrating 80 years to the day since the publishing of the Rev. Wilbert Awdry's The Three Railway Engines (the book which introduced us to Edward, Gordon and Henry), which became the first book in the Railway Series, a special evenings running was held of the Sefton & West Lancashire Light Railway featuring Duke the Lost Engine formerly of the Mid Sodor Railway (at the head of The Picnic and Boat Train) and from the Skarloey Railway, Skarloey and Rusty. Sir Topham Hatt and Trevor the Traction Engine joined in the festivities with the Really Useful Engines. The Sefton & West Lancashire Light Railway is a 16mm scale SM32 Garden Railway.
