Now this is something different. There's three parts: Generative plinky ploinky sounds, base drone and vocals. Let's start with the last one: The vocals. I found these on a damaged recordable CD by the side of the road about 20 years ago. No title, no artist and probably some home made recording. Listened to them, notated the key they were in, picked one, recorded it to cassette, and here we go. The base drone comes from the Proton. Two oscillators with a nice interval and a bit of frequency modulation using the two LFO's. I only play the black keys on the midi keyboard, so we have a pentatonic scale. Random plinky ploinky is fun and what not, but it can get quite dissonant. Especially when you're slapping loads of reverb on things. (I'm using the TC Electronics Hall of Fame reverb, set to church, decay at 3 o' clock.) So I put a sequence in the Model 15, consisting of some random black keys, and set the playback mode to random for extra randomness. Now the OSC is doing random pentatonic notes, but as long as there is no open gate, nobody can hear them. So I sent the S&H to the ENV TRIG. Unlike the Neutron, the Model 15's S&H is ready to go. For triggering speed it is linked to the LFO and I believe it uses noise as it's input. Both OSC set to pulse, play around with ADSR to make ploinks you like. Now we're gonna recycle those pentatonic notes by patching Model 15's NOTE CV to Neutron's OSC 1+2. Now to achieve the same random ploinks, patch the LFO to the S&H IN, and the S&H to the E. Gate 1. That sets up th Neutron. Now patch the KEY CV from the Model 15 to the OSC 1 of the Crave. Set the ASSIGN OUT of the Crave to random Voltages, and patch that to the ENV GATE. We got three machines now, doing the same ploinky ploinks but at different moments in time. And they sound different. In the middle right is Sjors, one of my cats. I'm trying to get him to sleep there while I make ambient sounds. When I grow up I wanna be @MartinStuertzer
