Redfern, Australia, A Sydney Suburb, Feels Distinctly Different From Sydney Proper

Redfern, Australia is just a few kilometers away from Sydney Central Business District. But when you walk around, it feels so different. I took the opportunity to jump on my bike, ride out of the Sydney area, and explore Redfern. This is what I found. This is what Redfern looks like, and feels like. A community with a controversial past, and an interesting present. A place where the old: old pubs, old hardware stores, and old shoe repair places, stand side by side with the new: new coffee shops, new restaurants, new styles. It's a small neigborhood. A main street that's just a few blocks long. But within those few blocks, there's a lot to see. It's a good spot for: an afternoon stroll, for the curious traveler.
