Hi to all, I'm glad I can finally give you this video who gave me a bit of challenge. I recorded a part where I expose a bug when recording multiple takes and I give you a workaround. I should remind you that I'm not paid for making those videos. I just like to show what I learn and there is a lot to know with Samplitude ! EDIT : Thanks to Maximilian Krauß who kindly commented the video with this information : The missing shorter take is actually a feature, not a bug. The underlying rationale is that all takes are not only assumed to start at the same time as the selected take, but also to take at least as long as the selected take. Therefore, there is a filter option enabled by default that hides takes that are shorter than the currently selected one. In your example, recording and selecting a second take that is longer than the first take makes the filter hide the first one as it doesn't fully meet the filter's criteria (it starts at the same time, but is too short). That is also why your workaround helps: When you record and select a third take that is even shorter than the first one, the take filter looks at your three takes from the perspective of the third take and recognizes: Oh, the first and second take are longer than the current one, so they shall pass. Accordingly, both previous takes are offered in the context menu. :) To change that behavior, open the "Take Manager" (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+T at least in the German version) and click on its cog icon with more options. Uncheck "filter out too short takes" (or similar, I use the German version). Afterwards, the first take will appear in the context menu of the arranger object as intended, although being shorter than the second take. Hope this helps and is understandable. :) Maximilian THANKS MAX !
