PCO and residual refraction due to late Toric IOL rotation - capsule polish, Verion IOL reposition
This is a myopic patient who underwent cataract surgery with Acrysof Toric IOL implantation with initially perfect refractive outcome. Years after the surgery, the eye developed PCO with thick epithelial cells in the bag equator (Soemerring), andfibrotic changes of the anterior capsule and bag, leading to late 10 degrees rotation of the IOL, with late refractive error and decreased visual acuity. We perform posterior capsule polishing, capsular bag wash-out and repositioning of the toric IOL, according to the Verion recommended axis.
