Elite Turbo Roteo: noise after 50 hours of use

I've had this Elite indoor bicycle trainer for a couple years, but have only put about 50 hours of use on it. Over the past ten hours of use it has been getting noisier, a worrisome sign that there may be an impending failure. I have observed no oil leaks, and everything still works fine... it is just getting louder and I think I can feel some vibration beginning, too. Some forum posts have suggested that Elite had manufacturing tolerance issues on the bearing seats and the bearings start to come loose, but I haven't detected appreciable play in the shafts... yet.
