BBC Sunday Grandstand Sheffield United vs Burnley Premier League World Touring Cars from Suzuka Japan Masters Snooker, Ronnie O'Sullivan vs Judd Trump BBC Grandstand featuring FIFA 20 © Sheffield United vs Burnley in the Premier League, Gran Turismo Sport © World Touring Cars from Suzuka, Japan and Snooker 19 © and the final frame of The Masters between Judd Trump and Ronnie O’Sullivan. This video is a tribute to BBC Grandstand that ran from 1958 to 2007, and I am recreating the look a feel of an early 90’s grandstand broadcast. I have taken the format of previous episodes and this video includes action from FIFA 20, Gran Turismo and Snooker 19. I have a Football Focus style highlights of Sheffield United vs Burnley in the Premier League, then racing from Japan in the World Touring Cars that see the return of Nigel Mansell, and finally The Masters Snooker Final between Ronnie O’Sullivan and Judd Trump. Why bring back Grandstand in 2019? BBC Grandstand was the main stay of British Saturday and Sunday afternoons through the 1960s to the mid 2000’s. sadly the BBC cancelled Grandstand as they had lost the rights to so many sporting events they didn’t have anything to broadcast at times, but I think its missing. My plan is to bring back the early 1990’s style of tv broadcasting and attach it to modern PS4 and PC Games (PS4 Because that is what I own). I’ve always liked the way BBC Sport was able to present sport in this era, however, I also loved the commentary and presenters that gave us the words to some truly brilliant sporting action. The Likes of John Motson, Tony Gubba, Murray Walker, Bill McLaren, Gerald Sinstadt, Peter Alliss, Richie Benaud and my personal favorite Barry Davies. I also liked the presenters and pundits, Des Lynam is a legend in my generation for being the host of Grandstand and Match of the Day, Steve Rider and David Coleman who presented just about everything, but was the voice of athletics in the 1990s.
