Joint Pursuit of Modernization: China and Africa Open a New Chapter at FOCAC

During this golden autumn season, the Summit of FOCAC concluded in Beijing, where leaders from China and Africa discussed new plans for deepening their friendly cooperation. During the summit, China and Africa agreed to firmly support each other on issues concerning their respective core interests and practice true multilateralism. They also agreed to oppose prejudice, address historical injustice and advance modernization to make it benefit all people. China and Africa have a long history of friendly relations. Through mechanisms like the FOCAC and the BRI, the two sides are collaborating on “nine projects”, including digital innovation and green development. This partnership is continuously strengthening the sustainability and impact of China-Africa cooperation as it evolves and progresses. In the coming three years, China and Africa will collaborate on ten partnership actions for modernization.
