Working in collaboration with Nobel Peace Prize winners and world leaders, Gretel Truong has raised her voice for justice as an award-winning video producer, storyteller, and advocate. Gretel currently serves as the Vice President of Impact Campaigns for Represent Justice, an organization that harnesses the power of media to engage audiences in reimagining the justice system. Represent Justice was inspired by the life and legacy of Bryan Stevenson, and was launched in 2019 alongside the release of the film "Just Mercy." Previously, at the Malala Fund, Gretel managed the international social action campaign around the release of the documentary "He Named Me Malala"; prior to that, as a media consultant in Washington, D.C., she worked with clients including HBO, Google, and Bloomberg. Stepping out from behind the camera, Gretel joins SHE ROCKED IT to share the inside story of growing up as the child of a refugee; how she finds support and inspiration among woman colleagues; and how she strives to make a difference not only through her global work but right at home in her community.
